  • 10 g fast action yeast
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 160 ml unsweetened non-dairy milk (lukewarm)
  • 160 ml water (lukewarm)
  • 75 g raw cashews
  • 2 cloves garlic (peeled for dip)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons tapioca starch
  • ½ teaspoon salt (for dip)
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
  • 85 g vegan butter (for topping)
  • 4 cloves garlic (peeled and crushed for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 heaped teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, sugar, olive oil, non-dairy milk, and water to form a rough dough.
  2. Knead the dough by hand or with a stand mixer for about 5–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl for 1–2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Shape risen dough into small balls and arrange them around a greased ramekin.
  5. Allow to rise again for 30–40 minutes before baking at 180°C (350°F) until golden brown.
