  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough by mixing warm milk, melted butter, and sugar until dissolved. Add instant yeast and let sit for 5 minutes. Mix in egg and salt, then gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  3. Make the filling by combining softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the cheesecake filling evenly over it. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture before rolling tightly from one edge to another.
  5. Cut into 12 equal pieces, place on a greased baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with cloth, and let rise for an additional 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F.
  6. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Prepare the cream cheese glaze by beating together softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until desired consistency is achieved.
