  • 1 ½ cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons potato starch
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon psyllium husk powder
  • 1 packet instant rapid rise yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200ºF, then turn it off.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together gluten-free flour, water, and milk over medium heat until thickened to create a roux. Set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer bowl, combine gluten-free flour, potato starch, sugar, psyllium husk powder, yeast, baking powder, and salt. Mix on low speed.
  4. Add warm milk, egg, melted butter, and the prepared roux to the dry mixture; blend until combined and then mix on high for five minutes.
  5. Shape dough into smooth balls and place in a greased baking pan.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the warm oven for ten minutes. Remove and let sit while preheating the oven to 350°F.
  7. Brush tops of rolls with melted butter mixed with salt before baking for about 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
