  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar + 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients; mix just until combined.
  4. Pour half of the batter into the Bundt pan. Mix remaining sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle half over the batter. Add remaining batter on top and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture. Swirl through gently with a knife.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  6. Allow cooling in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
