  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Fontina cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the steak tips generously with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak until browned on all sides, then set aside.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to boil and cook rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted; season with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning if desired.
  5. Toss cooked rigatoni into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Fold in seared steak tips until well combined.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra Parmesan cheese.
